Hall Meters

Typical Hall effect meters are available from various vendors.

These meters run from 3 wires.

Shielding

Be sure to utlise a shield within the wire to ensure a quality signal.

Hall effect meters are susceptible to noise from induced currents in cables.

A commonly available signal cable is available from Jaycar as WD1540. 3 Cores are required leaving a spare core.

High quality meters (such as Flomec) come pre calibrated.

The calibration vales published can be applied directly to new installations with a high confidence on less than 1% accuracy out of the box
