HD Solar
Fuellox HD (Heavy Duty) Solar is a rigid and versatile fuel management system designed for heavy-duty applications, ideal for remote pump control where solar power is required. The Fuellox HD Solar is built to handle tough conditions, with a strong steel enclosure and multiple variants to meet specific needs.
Compatibility
Following are the compatibilities of the Heavy Duty:
- Operates on 12V DC battery.
- Requires the connection of a Solar PV.
- Compatible with both 2-wire Reed and 3-wire Hall Effect pulse meters.
- Supports Solenoid or Pump Control.
- Comprehensive catalog of wiring instructions available upon request.
- Required use of Fuellox High Gain BLE Antenna for optimal performance.
Fuellox HD Solar
Fuellox Heavy Duty Solar comes in two main types:
- Fuellox HD Solar - Solenoid Control
- Fuellox HD Solar - Pump Control
Let’s understand each variant in detail:
1. Fuellox HD Solar - Solenoid Control
The standard Fuellox HD is housed in a robust steel enclosure measuring 300mm x 300mm with a typical depth of 150mm, although a 200mm depth option is available.

Parts List
| Name | Part | Description | Other |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solar Controller | Blue Solar MPPT 75 I 10 | Solar Charge Controller | |
| Battery | Lead Acid 24AH | Or Equivalent ie 12N24-3 | Example |
| PV | Solar Panel 100W to 8.33A Charge | Or Equivalent | Example |
Typical Application Description
- The solenoid draws 18W of power, 20 operations per day for 5 minutes each results in 100Wh of energy used per day.
- The battery below contains 288Wh of energy which is almost enough for three days of use without charging.
- For a 100lpm pump this is 10,000L (100 LPM x 5 min x 20 operations) of daily dispense capacity. Or enough capacity to discharge an entire 30,000L tank (in theory)!
- Bigger batteries are possible, don’t go any smaller.
Alternatively size the battery + PV so that you can accomplish a suitable number of mins open per day. Keep in mind the pump flow rate, and typical dispensing event sizes.
Also consider your location in terms of solar equipment performance for your regions winter conditions.
